Edmonton Jewish Film Festival

About the film festival

Welcome to the 28th annual Edmonton Jewish Film Festival (EJFF) where Jewish perspectives come to life.

From May 21 to May 30, we invite you to discover, connect, and engage with us, in person and virtually. Join the conversation, as we explore and reflect on stories, traditions, and history, from a wide and varied Jewish world.

This year, we offer four feature films in-person and four virtually. Our in-person films will be shown at two locations:

Metro Cinema Garneau Theatre (Tuesday, May 21 and Sunday, May 26)
Capitol Theatre in Fort Edmonton Park (Tuesday, May 28 and Thursday, May 30)

In addition to great films, we also have a few very special events for you. On Sunday, May 26 at 2 p.m., join us for our Fiddler on the Roof sing-along. Come in costume (if you like) watch the 1971 classic film, and sing-along. On Thursday, May 30, close the festival with us at our screening of Less Than Kosher, an offbeat all Canadian Jewish comedy. Writer/creators Shaina Silver-Baird and Michael Goldlist will be there for a Q and A after the film.

Tickets to in-person films are $15. Tickets to online films are $10. For $80, you can buy an all-access pass. Get your tickets now.

Please note that online films are only available to Edmonton residents.

The Jewish Federation of Edmonton extends deepest gratitude to our sponsors, volunteers, partners, and audience for making possible this wonderful community-wide event. Proceeds from the EJFF are the primary source of funding for Partnership 2Gether (P2G), The Jewish Federation of Edmonton’s bridge-building partnership with the communities of the Galilee panhandle in Northern Israel. Learn more about P2G.

For information, to volunteer or to sponsor, please contact Susan Schiffman. Thank you for being part of our festival!
